Eddy Moors is team leader of the ALTERRA part of the ESS-CC (Earth System Science – Climate Change) group of the Centre for Water and Climate at Wageningen University and Research Centre. He is also the overall project coordinator and people manager of the group. He studied water and land use with a specialisation in meteorology and hydrology at the Wageningen Agricultural University.

From 1988 until 1991 he worked as a hydro-meteorologist for the World Meteorological Organisation first in the Sahelian countries and later in the Caribbean. In 1992 and 1993 he worked as researcher at the department of Water Resources of the Wageningen University. Since 1993 he works as a scientific researcher at Alterra, where he is and has been involved in numerous national and international projects.

Although at present his main interest is in bringing together people with different fields of expertise, his own research expertise is based on topics such as hydro-meteorology; micrometeorology, measuring & modelling of land cover - atmosphere exchange processes, water-carbon-nitrogen cycling.
