After graduating in 2005, he started the two year MSc programme ‘Landscape Architecture and Planning’ with the specialisation ‘Land Use Planning’ at Wageningen University. After graduation in August 2007, he started working at the land use planning group as researcher where he focused on the role of spatial planning in climate change adaptation and on European spatial planning. Since august 2008 he is a PhD student at the ‘Earth System Science and Climate Change’ group (Mo-Wed) and the ‘Public Administration and Policy’ (Th-Fr) group at Wageningen University.

In addition, in 2008 he has been involved a comparative study of national adaptation strategies in EU countries (part of the Partnership for
European Environmental Research (PEER) Climate Change Initiative).
